My latest TV series I scored started on Channel 4 & All 4 this week across the UK. The music has a slight European flavour thanks to it’s filming locations.
Across Europe there are hundreds of remote villages, hamlets, borgos and cortijos lying empty and unloved. As many Europeans quit agriculture to seek employment in the cities in a trend that has lasted over a century, these small settlements are steadily heading for collapse.
But where our European neighbours just see devastation, an increasing number of plucky Brits have spotted an opportunity to restore beautiful historic houses and breathe life into abandoned villages.
